Backbend Bundle
What does it mean to backbend and what does it take? Flexibility and length in the hip flexors, psoas and most of the front body, strength to support the shape in the lower back, glutes & hamstrings, and many backbends require openness in the chest and shoulders too. Expect all of these interwoven into the classes in the bundle. We’ll work on strength, flexibility and a comfortable approach to backbends.
This bundle includes 3 x 60 minute classes.
- Strengthen Your Wheel – What helps our Wheel pose feel better? Strong bums, strong arms, open hips and flexible shoulders. This class includes practice of Camel and an opportunity to try One Leg Wheel.
- Shoulder Mobility: Flip The Grip – Blocks and straps required as we work through a range of challenges for the shoulders, open the hips and understand the motion of flipping the grip and how to progress towards it.

Safe, Strong, Splits Practice – yes the splits is a backbend! But expect a lot more of a hamstring focus in this class for obvious reasons. Circle 360 degrees around the mat as we open the body in preparation for splits before finding a comfortable expression of the pose for your body – blocks required.
